Brewing the best coffee for locals and tourists alike since 2007, Gruene Coffee Haus serves as an exemplary small business in its community of which it gets its name–– Gruene, Texas!
Historic Gruene was originally a small German settlement on the Guadalupe river, but is now a bustling summer city known for its beauty, charm, live country music, dance hall, and landscape! Additionally, Gruene is home to a number of unique family-owned business, but Gruene Coffee Haus is the city’s only coffee house. Known for their famous Texas Pecan Blend, Gruene Coffee Haus is sought out for their unique Hill-Country take on coffee.
Although many things have changed since Gruene Coffee Haus served their first cup of joe, their logo has remained the same. As Gruene Coffee Haus seeks to modernize their look as they trail blaze into future summer seasons with tens of thousands of tourists, they hope rebrand in such a way that reflects the quality of their products and the local community that supports them.
In order to create a stand-out sipping experience, I retired the teal in favor of cyan and selected typography that is more agreeable with the themes of the surrounding countryside.
The decision to embrace the new lively cyan is born of the belief that the new color packs a certain pop that will turn heads on the bustling city streets of Gruene. This vibrant shade will surely garner interest.. and maybe even a little craving for caffeine.
Additionally, the typography has experienced a total transformation that reflects the heartbeat of this Texan summer city—country charm and caffeinated creativity.
